Atmosphere Alternative supported Gold Standard with different documents (reports, checklists, among others) so that this certification program could achieve the following objectives:

• Streamline validation/verification activities and reporting by the VVOs.
• Bring consistency to the approach to validation/verification reviews and reporting among verification bodies.
• Create a development plan for future verification bodies to ensure a consistent, robust and high quality validation/verification service.
• Improve the efficiency, accuracy, completeness and transparency of the validation/verification process, including, but not limited to, assessment and reporting.
• Develop the capacity of agencies to provide a robust validation/verification process.
• Expedite reviews by Gold Standard and/or its certification bodies (CB).
• In addition, a consultation was held with the agencies to receive their feedback on the proposed templates/checklists and subsequently a virtual workshop on the new methods, guidelines, procedures, templates, etc. was developed.
